I learnt about Skyline Adventures through articles and favourable comments in the Summit Post web site.  I contacted Jenn Hrinkevich to explain the type of climb I was after and that I sought predominately to climb Alpamayo. Jenn submitted a plan to climb both Alpamayo and Quitaraju from a common high camp. The plan included activities to achieve the necessary acclimatization and this included a day climb on Huarapasca. Although there was no scheduled climbing trip to these peaks planned this year, Jen was able to find a climbing partner for me and arrange dates that suited both our needs.

Our guide, Micher, was an amazing climber; highly competent and well respected by all the other climbing guides we met. Our success on all the peaks was testament to Micher’s organization and skills.

I would have no reservations in recommending Skyline Adventures for your climbing trip in Peru. The whole trip was truly amazing and the Cordillera Blanca offers some of the best climbing and scenery I have ever encountered in over 30 years of high altitude walking and climbing in many parts of the world.

I look forward to returning and continuing my association with Skyline Adventures.
