Pamela & Misha

I enjoy a good adventure, but anyone who knows me knows an adventure for me means a day hike with my dog in the Catskills or the Adirondacks.  So, when my mountains obsessed boyfriend, who had been holed up in our NYC apartment due to COVID, suggested trekking the Cordillera Huayhuash I should’ve suspected it would be like nothing we’ve ever done.

It’s been almost 7 weeks since we’ve returned from our two week hike and as I think back to everything we hiked, everyone we met along the way, our amazing Skyline Adventures crew and the thousands of photos we took that simply do not do justice, I can without a doubt say it was an adventure of a lifetime.

This trip tested the limits of my physical endurance and while it isn’t for the faint of heart, it is definitely for those adventure seekers who want a trip like none other.  A quick summary of our epic adventure: 13 days and nights above 4,000 meters and reaching well above 5,000 meters, about 9,000 meters ofi7 vertical gain and loss over 160 kilometers as we circled the entire Huayhuash range.
As I look back at the photos and memories from our trip, I can hardly believe we were able to accomplish all of the aforementioned. A heartfelt thank you to the Skyline Adventure Team for making this extraordinary adventure possible.
