Guided by the wonderful Gladys, we took great day trips from Huaraz and its vicinity. It was SO good, that we decided to return (all the way from Israel!) in the following year, to do the Santa Cruz trek. This time Gladys was reinforced by the superb cook Umberto to make this an outstanding experience. And mind you – we are no longer the youngest (well into the sixties), but the high level of care we enjoyed made it all look easy… Oh, and one last thing. Jenn seems to have very good relations upstairs. The weather was ideal!
